Bishop Creek (October 2006) : The California Eastern Sierras are a wonder anytime of the year, but particularly during the foliage. The weather, even so unpredictable, will rarely dissapoint you if you are patient enough.

I experienced incredible lighting in Bishop on October 1st. 10 minutes after the sunset, the entire sky turned bright red. It was an apocaliptic moment when the foreground started to light too.

I always thought that Galen Rowell used saturated filters to display these incredible sunsets in the Eastern Sierra. Now, I know that it is actually real.

What a pleasant surprise!

Eastern Sierra, California (October 2005) : California has beautiful color in Aspen fall trees and pictures of foliage. We visited the Eastern Sierra on two occasions and each time we found vibrant colors, snowy mountain peaks, and mesmerizing waterfalls.
If you have a chance next October, take a ride on HWY395, stop along the way to hike around Lee Vinning and the June lake loop. You'll be surprised of how much you'll enjoy the scenery.

SilverOak Napa Valley - California (Annual Release Party) : In the early 1970s Silver Oak Cellars emerged as a dream tied to an intrepid idea: to create a Cabernet Sauvignon of fully developed flavors and velvety soft textures on the day it was released for sale.
However, for us, the dream is to gather a group of friends and "survive" the annual release party. And here is the story ...
